Founded in 1994 by guitarists Alastor Mysteriis and Devolthan, Sweden's Setherial tread the pertinacious and undeviating path to black metal Hell likewise trafficked by fellow Scandinavian acts of the Apostles like Marduk, Emperor and Darkthrone. 'She Unfolds' takes top CineVegas honor

Fest winners included Bill Pullman for performance





Rolf Belgum's "She Unfolds by Day" took home the grand jury prize at the 10th annual CineVegas Film Festival on Saturday in Las Vegas.


Rachel Samuels' "Dark Streets" and Bill Pullman for his performance in "Your Name Here" both received special jury awards.


Aaron Rose and Joshua Leonard's "Beautiful Losers" was awarded the documentary jury award, with Paul Eagleston and Stephen Rose's "Hi, My Name is Ryan" picking up special jury prize.


The audience awards went to John Corey's "Lost in the Fog" for documentary and Jared Drake's "Visioneers" in the dramatic competition.

The dark, organ-driven punk careen of I Walk the Line came about in 2003, a few age in front anyone knew the band's name would probably forever be associated with the likewise titled Joaquin Phoenix moving-picture show around the Man in Black. Based in Helsinki, I Walk the Line began as a side project for various members of Finnish bands Wasted and Manifesto Jukebox. The quintet issued its starting time album, Bad Lands, through Combat Rock Industry (Suomi) and Boss Tuneage (U.K. and Japan) in 2004. They toured about Germany and the U.K. a couple times in support of it, after which drummer Antti quit (later becoming the band's good guy) and Jussi signed on in his position. Much of 2005 was spent written material and transcription I Walk the Line's sophomore record album, Desolation Street, which was released to positive response in Europe the following year.


The band -- rounded out by vocalist/bassist Ville Rönkkö, guitarists Antti and Jani, and keyboardist Anna -- got back to gigging around, which included playing some of the biggest festivals in Finland. The exposure helped their profile at home, and when they released the Diamond Eyes EP at the summer's end, it entered the interior charts at phone number two. I Walk the Line signed to California's Gearhead Records in the fall of 2006, and Desolation Street appeared on North American shelves the undermentioned January. The band's first-ever U.S. turn followed in the springtime of 2007, including a stop over at Austin's South by Southwest festival.

American Idol - Idol Pulls In Years Biggest Audience


Although the size of the audience for American Idol dipped significantly over
the season, Wednesday night's finale actually rose slightly from last year's. The
episode averaged 30.6 million viewers versus 29.5 million for the 2007 finale. Fox's
17.3 rating and 27 share was greater than the ratings for the three other networks combined
-- as was the network's rating for adults 18-49. The final half hour of Idol recorded
a 19.1/29, translating to 36.34 million viewers -- the biggest number for any regular
television episode of the year.
